only 39 percent of companies are investing in SRM training. 8 in 10 leaders recognise and define the SRM role. 62 percent of companies have defined an SRM skill-set. <1/3 of companies have completed competency assessments.  Communication is regarded asanessential SRMskill by 84%of companies. 40 percent of companies have provided negotiation training, compared to 19% of companies that have provided training in strategic thinking. only 50 percent of companies are planning SRM training in the next 12 months.
