Collaborative Collaboration has become almost the watchword of SRM. To the point that is often used as the main way to differentiate SRM from contract and performance management. Collaboration is a two way process, therefore the question regarding the frequency of collaboration was asked of both the sell and buy sides. The results again show a close correlation between both sides – the sell side being slightly more upbeat.

AN INDUSTRY SECTOR PERSPECTIVE From an industry perspective, the survey reveals that IT/ high tech and manufacturing companies are most likely to be collaborating with suppliers often , compared to finan- cial service and utilities were collaboration takes place less frequently / .
