2012 Global SRM Research Report - Supply Chain (Greece)

APPENDIX 1

ABOUT THE RESEARCH

State of Flux began to operate in Greece towards the end of 2010, a year that was marked by rapid changes in the economic and business environment. In this challenging and somewhat daunting landscape we commissioned research in 2011 to understand more about how procurement and supply chain functions of Greek enterprises are placed to contribute to the sustainability and resilience of their organisations. We believe procurement and supply chain can play a vital role in managing risk, spurring innovation and contributing to the sustainability and growth of an organisation. With that in mind, we approached a large number of Greek organisations and invited them to contribute to what has proved to be a valuable and thought-provoking benchmarking exercise. Over 130 organisations from 20 industry sectors accepted our invitation to complete an online survey over a period of 5-6 months. Following the completion of the survey, a number of cross organisation workshops were conducted in Greece to supplement the results from the survey and give an opportunity to procurement and supply chain professionals to reflect on the preliminary results of the survey and share their thoughts and experiences with their peer group.
