Aluminium of Greece Since 1966, Aluminium of Greece has been driving the growth of the country’s aluminium manufacturing industry. With its state-of-the- art facilities, the company has the largest production capacity for alumina and aluminium in south-eastern Europe. One of the objectives of the procurement function has been year- on-year cost savings. To that end, Aluminium of Greece has undertaken a number of programmes that have saved the company millions of euros. Michalis Fratzeskos, the company’s procurement director, talked to us about these initiatives and the benefits they have delivered.
