Collaboration and recognition in turn are key inputs to improved performance and innovation. Bill Myers, Global Supplier Relationship Manager at HP, shared some of his thoughts and the progress at HP.

Q: What are the key actions or initiatives you have taken to improve your SRM information and technology? Bill Myers: In FY14, we underwent a complete transformation of our SRM programme, which now has five distinct modules: supplier inclusion, supplier development, supplier relationship, supplier performance, and supplier recognition. 1. It started with our supplier inclusion module. While we continue to leverage supplier spend and the strategic relationship, we also evaluate the potential of driving additional value in partnership with the supplier if we include them in our SRM programme. It’s about how we can apply our limited resources to drive greatest value for HP – so that factors heavily in our selection process.
