SRM SOFTWARE ADOPTION – BUSINESS FIRST

Deploying a new technology or software solution to a new or existing community can often be a bigger people and organisational challenge than technical. Many companies are still counting the cost of technology investments that have failed to deliver the business case benefits predicted as a result of poor adoption. Adoption challenges can be anticipated and minimised through good planning, resourcing, coordination, collaboration and governance. A number of key factors influence the rate of adoption, and measures can be taken to accelerate the rate of change and to ensure maximum adoption. These factors can also be applied so that companies minimise the initial dip in productivity as resources divert effort to implementing and adapting to the new tools and working practices. Critical to all this is putting the business first.
