Moving on to our third area of enquiry, we seek to gain a better understanding of the deficiencies organisations see in the technology they are using to enable their SRM activities. The primary concerns remain the same as previous years: the lack of required functionality and having to work with disparate systems that are not integrated. Access to systems by stakeholders, including suppliers, remains an issue. For almost a quarter of respondents using some technology at the moment, the cost of fully deploying a solution is seen as a barrier. The statistical responses are complimented by some of the qualitative feedback provided by respondents.

We find it difficult to get automated supplier performancemanagement information to inform supplier reviewmeetings. Information tends to be qualitative.
